Day 13 - Sat 21st March: Lincoln Memorial, Washington D.C.

This year sees the 200th Anniversary of Abraham Lincoln's birth, so there's quite a few exhibits dedicated to him in a number of WDC's museums.
He grew his beard in late 1860. He was in office from March 1861.
I presume these two events are not related.

  1. What happened to my comment about men and beards?! Oh, just seen my e-mail. OK.

  2. Is there some kind of international beard cover-up going on here?

I just got back from holiday and all these pictures are a right treat! Ironically the one I've found the most interesting so far is of that bored man (day 2).

It must be like that in lots of museums. Things that people have spent their lives working on passionately, all concentrated into one central zone of knowledge, and it just doesn't happen to float that guys boat. He probably just wants a sandwich.

Looking forward to the next lot of installments :)
